Country International School (CIS-GH) is a Cambridge International School that admits learners from 3 months to 14 years old for our Early Years School (Crèche to Reception), Primary and Secondary schools.
We prepare learners as lifelong learners as they work towards their first external examination: International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), which we believe provides them with knowledge, confidence and the requisite skills for our challenging world.
Learning at CIS
Inquiry is central to our approach to teaching and learning.
This technique is intended to boost learners’ involvement and interest by building tasks around questions (an inquiry wall in every session) and real-world topics, problems, and discovery. We want learners to do more than just write and pass tests or answer questions correctly. Beyond theory, we advocate for investigation, exploration, research, quest, and study. This is accomplished through intercultural connections, cooperation, our enthusiasm for risk-taking and innovation, and our commitment to the well-being of every student.
We also believe in and have incorporated student profile attitudes into our curriculum. (Inquiries, knowledge, reflection, open-mindedness, communications, thinkers, principled, balance, risk-taking, and caring).
