CIS-GH is a full-fledge Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) Centre located East Legon
School Community
CIS-GH is an international school located in the diverse city of Accra, with students and families from all over the globe. Regardless of our differences, we join together to share common experiences, which strengthens our school community. Our society’s unity benefits everyone involved, including learners, teachers, parents and the entire school community. Social media is also used by the school to connect with current and former families, teachers and former students all over the world.
The Parent Teacher Conference (PTC) is a lively event that is essential to our community because it helps learners flourish by bringing parents and teachers together.
Summer Camp
Summer school is open to CIS-GH children, alumni children and non-CIS-GH children aged 3 months to 14 years. The course lasts four (4) weeks and starts in the month of July. Learners have the opportunity to take part in research-based education at the greatest academic level.
Parent Community
The CIS-GH Parent Community makes it simple for new parents to settle in. New parents will have the opportunity to meet parents of all learners and past learners as they engage in some of the exciting activities planned. The committee’s warm welcome, coupled with love, care, and respect for one another, has created an exciting environment in which parents and teachers can cooperate to enhance and improve the educational experience.
Partnership and Collaborations
Partnership and collaboration are critical to the success of the CIS-GH school group. We collaborate with parents, among teachers, with neighbourhood organization and we involve students in decision-making processes. These efforts resulted in better student outcomes, a more engaged community and a more successful school experience altogether.
Academics
The Cambridge University has granted official recognition to CIS-GH as a Cambridge International School. This indicates that our shared objective with Cambridge University is to develop learners who exhibit traits like self-assurance, responsibility, creativity and involvement. Our school recognises the role of assisting students in discovering knowledge, acquiring skills and developing positive attitudes. We accomplish this by emphasising active student participation in our student-cantered approach to teaching and learning. Our teachers serve as learning facilitators and respect the individuality of every student. As a result, they employ child-friendly techniques to aid in the success of every learner. By providing a holistic education that goes beyond the classroom, our school is dedicated to fostering the development of future leaders by all standards.
Leaner Activities
The promotion of originality is an important element of CIS-GH education. Through academic and co-curricular programs, we hope to inspire students to create innovative theories, transform traditional chores into boundary-pushing projects and devise creative learning approaches. We nurture students’ natural creativity in our Arts program, urging them to explore the exciting world of artistic expression. This is accomplished through a variety of mediums, including music, visual arts and theatre, in which students can create art that reinforces their learning, adds beauty and importance to their world and promotes a sense of community. Furthermore, learners at CIS-GH profit from the opportunity to reflect on their learning progress and evaluate their outcomes.
